About Our School

Lightwoods Primary School is a small non-denominational one form entry school providing education for 4 to 11-year-old children.

Our Pre- school is opening in September 2009 for pupils aged 3-4 years.

We aim to raise the level of attainment of all pupils by providing them wth quality teaching and learning. We have high expectations of all our pupils.

Every pupil will follow a broad and balanced curriculum, underpinned by personal,social,health and citizenship education.

Times of Opening:

The building is of the traditional style with individual classrooms. Other facilities include an ICT suite, a library, music room, early years activity room, a community room, a new sports hall and an assembly - dining hall. The school has a servery which serves midday meals..

Our school is committed to working in partnership with parents, and actively encourages our parents to help out in our classrooms, and to get involved with the Friends of Lightwoods.
