Please note this is a guide of what children will be doing in school, there is no requirement for all of these tasks to be completed each day! Do what suits you and your child each day.
This week, we are asking all of the children to take part in a Time Capsule project. Below, there is a suggested activity which children could complete as part of their time capsule but you could do something else! • As well as the suggested activity, you could keep a short diary entry each day which you could add to your time capsule at the end of the week. |
|
Monday |
Create a jar of positive thoughts. You could do this with an empty jar at home which you can fill with drawings or photographs or you could draw an image of a jar and then draw pictures or write down things which make you feel happy. |
Create a picture of a rainbow and write down on the back the things you have enjoyed during lockdown.
Tuesday |
Draw pictures of all of the people who have been working hard throughout lockdown to help us. Write a message to say thank you to them |
Write a letter to the Prime Minister (Boris Johnson). Tell him how you have been keeping safe during the lockdown period
Wednesday |
Use paint to create hand prints of all the people you have been living with during lockdown. If you have a piece of string or ribbon, ask an adult to cut a piece which is the same height as you are. Remember to add the date to the string/ribbon |
Design and make your own face mask. You could create it from paper or if you have material available, you could make it from that instead!
Thursday |
Have you learnt any new skills while you have been in lockdown? Draw a picture, take a photograph or perhaps make something using your new skill to include in your time capsule! |
Write down some of the things you have enjoyed about being in lockdown…and some of the things you haven’t enjoyed!
Friday |
Write a message to your class teacher or some of your friends who you haven’t seen for a while. Write down what you have been up to and what you are looking forward to after lockdown. |
Now it’s time to create your time capsule to add all of your things to! Find a box (a shoe box is ideal) and decorate the box to make it personal to you and your family. Once you have added all of your time capsule pieces, put it somewhere safe so you can look back on it when you are grown up!
