Please note this is a guide of what children will be doing in school, there is no requirement for all of these tasks to be completed each day! Timings are just a guide, do what suits you and your child each day.

Here is the link to BBC Bitesize where you can find additional activities and resources linked to the videos from White Rose Maths. If you go on the White Rose Maths website they too have the link to the relevant BBC pages that match the video for the day.

This week we are going to be looking at a traditional Fairy Tale, The Princess and the Frog.

Task: to write your story. Use your plan from yesterday to help you include all the things you wanted. Remember your capital letters, full stops, and adjectives. Can you also include ‘and’ and ‘because’?

We have also created an additional list for writing ideas.

Phonics

Read phase 2, phase 3 and phase 5 sounds.

Pick a sound from phase 3 or 5. Make a list of as many words as you can with that sound in. Can you write 3 sentences using words that contain your sound.

In our story about the Princess and the Frog, the princess wasn’t a good friend to the frog to begin with.

Have a look at the BBC’s lesson on How to be a good friend. What advice would you give the princess?
