Your task is to follow the learning journey this week, this includes watching the virtual lessons and completing the activities. You will need to press the 'next activity' button to advance the lesson.

Spelling test/practise

Ask an adult to test you on your spellings from last week! How many out of 10 did you get?

Spellings: Adding the prefix ex- (meaning ‘out of’)

Exit, extend, explode, excursion, exchange, export, exclaim, expel, external, exterior

  • Use a dictionary to find out the meaning of any new or unfamiliar words. Can you use them in a sentence?
  • Use this week’s spellings to see if you can ‘Crack the Code!’

  • Read the ‘Alien Headlines’ on page 10. Predict what might have happened next and think about what ‘shock of his life’ means.
  • Now, use the images on page 11 to come up with some punchy headlines of your own!
