Your task is to follow the learning journey this week, this includes watching the virtual lessons and completing the activities. Spelling test/practise

Ask an adult to test you on your spellings from last week! How many out of 10 did you get?

Spellings: Adding the prefix non- (meaning ‘not’)

Non-stick, non-stop, non-starter, non-smoker, nonsense, non-fiction, non-drip, non-violent, non-profit, non-believer

Use a dictionary to find out the meaning of any new or unfamiliar words. Can you use them in a sentence?

This week, we are continuing with our unit about 'Amazing Aliens'. This week you are going to be using all of the week from the last two weeks to write your own Alien log!

  • Use the table on page 16 in order to draft out your writing, using the structure to help you.
  • Remember to include time adverbials!

Science

  • Go through the slides which discuss how sound travels over distances.
  • Attempt the investigation on slide 5 by setting an alarm on a phone and seeing what happens as you move further away.
  • Read the information about how telephones work and then have a go at making your own string telephone.

Once you have tested your string telephone out, choose the 1-, 2- or 3-star activity to complete.
