Please note this is a guide of what children will be doing in school, there is no requirement for all of these tasks to be completed each day! Timings are just a guide, do what suits you and your child each day.

Read your reading book!

  • Activity:   Read the book aloud to a partner or family member.
  • Ask them to tell you 2 good things about your reading and 2 ways to improve your reading.
  • Try changing the things they suggest and read it aloud again.

Your task is to follow the learning journey this week, this includes watching the virtual lessons and completing the activities. You will need to press the 'next activity' button to advance the lesson.

Lesson 10: Measures – Mixed measures problems

Use an activity from the Spelling Menu from your Home Learning Pack to practise the ten spellings from the Year 3 & 4 Statutory Spelling list.

 'Amazing Aliens'. 

  • Today it is time to turn your ideas from yesterday into a persuasive advert!
  • Draft your text first and use the checklist from page 18 to check you have included all of the persuasive features.
  • Finally, publish your advert! You may wish to do this on a computer, create a poster or even a small booklet. On page 21 there is a quick guide on how to make a simple leaflet.

  • Today, we will be continuing our sketching techniques by looking at how to add perspective to images.
  • Watch the video clip about perspective drawing.
  • Then, use the Drawing Perspective Activity sheet and the instructions to try and draw an image with perspective.
  • Try and incorporate some of the other techniques you have learnt such as shading and figures.
