Please note this is a guide of what children will be doing in school, there is no requirement for all of these tasks to be completed each day! Timings are just a guide, do what suits you and your child each day.

Read your reading book!

  • Activity:  Choose 3 words which are unfamiliar or new to you. Work out their meaning using clues from the text, then check with a family member or dictionary.

You might want to use the Reading Activity sheet provided to record today’s learning and for the rest of the week!

Complete Day Two’s activities from the ‘Fluent in Five’ pack. As an adult to check your answers, using the answer sheet provided!

This week, we are continuing with our unit ‘The City of Silence’. This week you are going to continue to play with words and phrases to create your own juxtapositions, short poems and descriptive paragraphs.

For today’s learning, complete Activity 11: A Poem with a Repeating Pattern.  Use some of your ideas from previous lessons in this topic to create interesting, spooky, or even funny verses that use a repeating pattern.

  • Click here to access the world-geography-games website where you will find lots of different Geography games and quizzes on lots of different topics.

Spend some time playing on these games and see how you do. You could even challenge someone in your family to see who can score higher!
